ScotiaBank WaterFront Marathon

Alright, well this Friday I got an opportunity to legal skip school by doing volunteer work at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre. I got to do help some people with organizing their stuff, get them where they need to go and s.o and l.t. In exchange I got an Addidas t-shirt, although it was killed by the VOLUNTEER letters on the back, and the huge size. Somehow all the good photos I took disappeared, but this one, even though completely unrelated was taken during the trip. The trip by itself was pretty fun, and I didn't miss anything major at school, so it's all good.

The Gas Blues

I don't know if there is any actual relation between there things, but right at the time of high gas prices Rammstein seem to have released a single called Benzin (which is just a cool way of saying petrol, or gas). On a completely unrelated note, today in history we upturned all out desks, made some paper balls and played trench warfare. Fun Fun. Anyways, I'm out for now.

School's In

Ok, school started again, and even though that kind of sucks, it's really not THAT bad. My teachers turned out to be fine, so it's not so bad. I got some homework, but whatever. I got history in french, as well as drama in french, but it really isn't that hard, at least yet. Of course, to do homework I need to use a translator, but who doesn't. Except for french people I mean. My math teacher has some language problems, but in Canada that's so common that I'm actually not surprised. It doesn't make math hard to understand. In fact math is a universal language. It's right up there with science and love. Right now I am reading a book called the Full Cupboard of Life by Alexander McCall Smith. It's a book about a detective agency in Botswana, and is pretty interesiting. It's not really HAHA funny, but it sometimes ironic and funny in a kind, traditional way.

The iPod NANO came out. It is possibly the greatest MP3 player ever, but it is really too bad that it doesn't play wma files, so no iPod for me. I will just wait until the sony hdd plyer with the seamless screens come out. Anyways, I gotta go do something. Later.

Long Weekend Recap

Well, what a fun weekend it was. I went to Hyatt Glenn Haven Resort/Camping place-thing with my dad, and a bunch of other people. On the way we got a little lost, and had to ask for directions multiple times, but that's ok. When we got there I swam on a little boat for a while, then went fishing. With my complete lack of fishing experience catching 2 fish isn't so bad. Throwing them out, which equalled to destroying the evidence was hard.

Anyways, after fishing, on a platform out in the lake, we had to get off. The boat was far, so I had to swim to shore in my underpants, which was awkward. Oh well, I could use some swimming. Then I learned to play reversi and some other game, and we made some BBQ, which was awesome. There were so many stars in the sky, it was scary. Some losers were having a party, and listening to crappy music, but the fireworks were cool.

I slept on a couch, but in a sleeping bag which was somewhat of a compromise between camping and not. In the morning I was the first one to wake up. We had some breakfast, took some pictures, and left home. The drive took about 3 hours, so it wasn't bad. On the way back we went to out family friends house (the ones that were with us) and made some more BBQ and did some more stuff. Oh yeah! At Hyatt I got to drink Grogg, which is hot wine with sugar, it's really cool.

Ok, that was about it, but Hyatt Glenn Haven in Arlen was really cool for some Canadian Almost-Camping.

The good stuff

Well, I'm really kind of bored today, so I'm going to post something for future reference. I was really trying to learn ActionScript, but it is too frustrating. Much less frustrating than Need For Speed Underground 2. Also, I am back from Russia, so that's good. What else is good. I am going camping on Sunday. That should be good. School is starting soon, and that MIGHT be good. I read a lot of books this summer, and that is definitely good. I did a lot more other stuff, which is also good. That's all that I can remember right now that is good. Ok, bye for now, until I think of something else to type. Later.
